Different World

If you think what you do and see everyday is normal, it is probably wrong. Because there is always another world that is completely different from what you believe is normal. And it's just too sad to die without knowing it. I had never crossed the road crowded with this many motorbikes, and I had never really thought that toilet with automatic flash is something special.

On the first day, my friend and I walked around Dong Khoi Street. There are lots of colonial style buildings that were built when the country was still a French colony so you can see some French sings on the road too. It's been only about 37 years since the war ended but it seemed like Vietnam is developing rapidly.

I really likeed the color of the city, the color of old buildings and fresh fruits. I was losing my motivation before I went to Vietnam but when I got there, I couldn't stop releasing the shutter.

Mini tofu donuts

Those super healthy mini donuts are made from pancake mix, tofu, and just a bit of suger. I think I should have baked a little bit longer but my oven is kinda broken...I followed my recipe(really easy) but they look kinda raw. They tasted okay (the texture was like mochi) but I'm not sure if my cokking succeeded or not..And I'm sorry that the picture is slightly blured.

I've got these cute cat-shaped pastry cutters a few days ago, and finally baked some cokkies using them. I made a stupid mistake in the process of mixing but they turned out okay,I guess!
I thought it's easier to bake cokkies but it took me some time.

Muffins

Since my best friend lost her dog, I wanted to do something to cheer her up. Losing something you love is always hard. So I baked some banana chocolate-chip muffins. It's a small thing but hope my muffins made her feel a little bit better. By the way, I strongly recommend you to use muffin cups when you bake muffins because they get bigger than you imagine in the oven! :p

January 8th

January 8th is the day Elvis Presley was born and also the day I was born! Happy Birthday Elvis! As you get older, you don't really care about your birthday so much. I think I was more excited about my birthday 10 years ago. Now I'm 22, and just wonder why time passes this quickly! I'll be 25 then 30 soon. But anyways, I spent the dinner time with one of my best friends and I had a great time. I also baked cupcakes but not really because it was my birthday. I just felt like baking. Don't compare to the beautiful fruit tart which my mom bought for me. I wish I could make sweets better...well I think I will try again. Thanks for everyone who gave me birthday messages. I love you all.

Birthday Flowers

Every month, my company prepares some flowes at the exit for people who were born in the month. Since my birthday is tomorrow, I've got these little flowers a few days ago. I wonder what I will be doing when the tulip opens up.
